On Friday afternoon, the Housing & Redevelopment Authority of Duluth (Duluth HRA) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Skyridge Flats Growth in Duluth’s Harbor Highlands neighborhood.
Skyridge Flats may have 70 one-bedroom items of reasonably priced rental housing for ages 55+ made up of fifty% and 30% space median earnings (AMI) households. Preliminary rents are anticipated to be $800 monthly, with utilities included. There may also be seven items reserved for veterans experiencing homelessness.
Minnesota Housing, the Metropolis of Duluth, St. Louis County, LHB, Johnson Wilson Constructors, and the U.S. Division of Housing and City Growth are all companions on this undertaking.
Funding for Skyridge Flats consists of $14,229,000 in Housing Infrastructure Bonds from Minnesota Housing; $3,500,000 of Duluth HRA funds; $300,000 from the Metropolis of Duluth by their American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) fund allocation; and $150,000 from St. Louis County by their ARPA fund allocation.
Skyridge Flats is estimated to be accomplished and prepared for occupancy by the tip of 2024. The longer term location of the event will likely be 110 East Village View Drive.
